‘Frivilligsentralen’, the centre for voluntary work in Fjaler – the municipality to which Haugland, Flekke Dale, amongst others belong – often receives telephone calls from people in the municipality that need help with different small jobs in everyday life. ‘Frivilligsentralen’ needs new volunteers that could take on task like these:
- Clearing snow
- Cutting trees
- Gardening
- Cleaning roofgutters
- Simpel repair jobs
- Changing light bulbs
Kåre D. and Leonie would like to create a group of helpful students that can take on these tasks for people in Dale, Flekke, and other places in Fjaler. Being part of this group would be a nice opportunity to meet with individuals in the local community and to get a better idea of this beautiful area. Being fluent in Norwegian is absolutely not required, but it would be helpful if you knew some standard expressions to start with.
